MY STORY
Family
I’m a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the youngest of two children. My parents Kaiya Washington and Yvone Washington have always been my rock. My dad has always been incredibly supportive of all of our endeavors and has pushed me to achieve beyond what I thought was possible. My mother has always provided my older sister R'Lisha and I with love and structure in our lives making sure we are always at our best and representing our family and community in a positive manner.
School
I am currently attending Prairieville High School for my senior year of high school. Previously I attended Dutchtown High School for my Freshman through Junior years where I maintained a 3.5 or better GPA and earned 14 college credits. I truly appreciate everyone who helped me become the young man I am today. As a class president for three consecutive years and president of several school clubs, I believe in bringing out the best in others.
Leadership
I have been blessed to achieve recognition and set school records while at Lutcher High School in my feature event - the 110m hurdles. Transitioning to a new environment has only fueled my drive to push myself to evolve on the track, the class room and my community. I’m poised to make this my best season yet—ready to lead, grow and succeed like never before.
Growth
I would like to grow by challenging myself with tougher competition, improving my times, and developing greater mental toughness. I want to better my technique through
advanced coaching, build more strength and endurance. Ultimately, I want to become a more disciplined, resilient athlete and reach my full potential both on and off the track while growing as a young man.
